Here i am just playing around with hue/saturation. I liked the idea of capturing this short bit of film, showing the image as it goes through its range of different colours. I feel that as the colours change, the feel and intensity of the image changes.

Here i have created a video using 'Jing' to capture the process i have gone through to transform a normal image of mine into the style of a cartoon.

Glow Yellow

...it appears someone has had a similar idea to me. However my letters will be spelt out individually.

Following my Typography idea - Glow Stick Tennis

Obviously I am not going to be playing tennis in the dark. I am however going to spell out different letters of the alphabet using glow sticks and capture them in a dark room (such as in this video).

I came across this and it gave me an idea. Im not sure whether to use the idea for my 'Interpretive Self-Portrait' or 'Interpretive Type&Message'. I have a vision of either UV writing all over myself,as a sort of 'i am who i am,this is me' kind of thing, or to use the writing over objects as a new type of text. Ill give it some more thought, but i feel quite good about this idea already!

Up and running!

First post! It's taken me a while because quite frankly ive been struggling with ideas for this project 'Interpretive Self-Portrait' and im a real virgin when it comes to 'blogging'. Ive really been feeling quite uneasy about getting started, but after having a look at some other peoples blogs, i thought 'just get stuck in girl'. So im up and running and ready to start chucking ideas onto this page.

Tommorow i will be uploading a few images, of my sketchbook and brainstorm ideas. Primarilly a page about me! I've only just got hold of my camera and so now i can do what ive seen on a few of your pages, and whack on snap shots of what ive been up to..might save me rambling so much.

I really enjoyed last weeks task of fiddling around on Photoshop and seeing what we came up with. I did a Photography BTEC and so we did alot of work on Photoshop and i really enjoy it. I have however forgot a fair few useful tips and editing skills and so im hoping to get hold of Photoshop somehow to whack on my laptop (if anyone knows how i can do that, please let me know)
Anyway, Claire showed me this site and i think its blimmin' wicked! Perfect for getting really creative.
